Good morning. Mateo's fever is back, 101.4 this morning. Should we bring him in?

You

Thanks for the reading. I can see him by video at 9:15. If he isn't better this afternoon, I'll come by the house.

Thank you. That's a huge relief.

Questions

Before you apply

Do I have to live in Lakeland?

No, but you do need to live within 60 minutes of Lakeland. You'll work from home, and our members are across Polk County: Lakeland, Winter Haven, Auburndale, Plant City, Bartow, and Mulberry.

Is the clinician role part-time or full-time?

Either. Tell us the hours you want in your application. There is room to add hours as membership grows.

When would I start?

Cavea Health opens in February 2027. Onboarding and training happen before opening, and your start date is set with your offer.

What is direct primary care?

Members pay one monthly fee directly to the practice instead of billing insurance for each visit. That fee covers their ongoing primary care and direct access to their care team.

Who is the Medical Director?

Dr. Jacob DeWitt, MD. He owns and oversees an established direct primary care practice, and he trains and oversees the clinicians at Cavea Health.

What happens after I submit the form?

We review each request. If we want to move forward, we email you the full application. After that come two phone interviews, then a written offer.

Cavea Health is an equal opportunity employer. We consider every qualified applicant without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
