Opening in Lakeland, Florida — February 2027

Text your doctor. Skip the waiting room.

Cavea Health is membership medicine built around real access: text your doctor directly, fill out your paperwork once, and make decisions about your care together — with home visits when you need them.

  • Cash-pay, HSA-friendly
  • Home visits
  • One doctor, every time

What is Direct Primary Care?

It's medicine the way it worked before insurance sat in the middle of every visit. You pay Cavea Health one membership fee. In exchange, you get real access to your own doctor — not a call center, not a different provider every visit.

Most members keep a separate high-deductible plan or catastrophic coverage for hospital stays, specialists, and emergencies — Cavea Health handles everything else.

Using your HSA at Cavea Health

Starting January 1, 2026, federal law lets you use HSA funds to pay Direct Primary Care membership fees, and enrolling no longer disqualifies you from contributing to an HSA — as long as you keep a qualifying high-deductible plan alongside your membership and stay within the federal monthly cap.

Under Florida law, a direct primary care agreement like this one is not insurance and isn't regulated as insurance (Fla. Stat. §624.27).

This is general information, not tax or legal advice — confirm your specific situation with your advisor.

Frequently asked questions

What is Direct Primary Care?+

You pay one monthly fee directly to your doctor's practice instead of billing insurance for each visit. That fee covers ongoing primary care — office visits, follow-ups, care coordination, and direct access to your doctor.

Do you accept insurance?+

No. Cavea Health doesn't bill insurance for membership or visits, which keeps pricing simple and predictable. Most members keep a separate high-deductible plan for hospitalization, specialists, and emergencies, since membership doesn't replace that coverage.

Can I use my HSA to pay for membership?+

Starting in 2026, yes — as long as you also maintain a qualifying high-deductible health plan and stay within the federal monthly cap. See the Membership section above for details, and confirm specifics with your tax advisor.

Is this the same as insurance?+

No. Under Florida law (Fla. Stat. §624.27), a direct primary care agreement is not insurance and isn't regulated as insurance. It's a direct contract between you and your doctor.

What areas do you serve?+

Lakeland and the surrounding Polk County area, including Winter Haven, Auburndale, Plant City, and Bartow, with home visits available in parts of that area.

What if I need a specialist or the hospital?+

Cavea Health coordinates referrals and advocates for you, but membership doesn't cover hospital or specialist bills directly — that's what a separate high-deductible or catastrophic plan is for.
