About Cavea Health
Cavea Health is a Direct Primary Care practice opening at 502 East Main Street in downtown Lakeland, Florida in February 2027. Members pay one flat monthly fee, text their care team directly, and get home visits when coming in isn't realistic.
Why we built it
Primary care should be easy to reach. In a typical insurance-billed practice, a simple question turns into a phone tree, a two-week wait, and a bill you can't predict. Direct Primary Care removes the insurance company from everyday care, so the time goes to members instead of billing codes.
We keep panels small so your care team knows you. You fill out your history once. Plans are made with you, not handed to you.
Our Medical Director
Jacob DeWitt, MD
Medical Director — clinical oversight & training
Dr. DeWitt trains and oversees Cavea Health's clinicians and sets the standard for how visits, messaging, and home visits work day to day. He does not provide members' ongoing care directly.
He owns and oversees an established direct primary care practice in Zionsville, Indiana, and brings that same operating model to Lakeland.
He studied biology, applied mathematics, and chemistry at Purdue University before earning his medical degree (MD) at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he served as an officer in the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Your care team
Day-to-day care at Cavea Health comes from physicians (MD/DO), nurse practitioners (APRN), and physician assistants (PA). Every clinician is identified by name and license type, and we will introduce each one here as they join ahead of opening.
